Raising Awareness on Obesity : Walkathon in Montreal
the "World Without Obesity" Walkathon, an event dedicated to raising awareness about obesity
Montreal, September 9, 2023 - Parc Mont Royal recently hosted the "World Without Obesity" Walkathon, an event dedicated to raising awareness about obesity and bariatric surgery. On this informative and activity-filled day, we had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Michel Gagné, a renowned bariatric surgeon. We also engaged in discussions with healthcare professionals committed to patient well-being, as well as individuals who have undergone this surgical intervention, to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges related to obesity and the diseases it can lead to.
The Walkathon brought together many determined Montrealers eager to promote health and raise awareness about the importance of body weight. Seasoned nutritionists were also present to provide guidance and educate participants on adopting healthier dietary habits, further reinforcing the overall goal of the day.
This event is just one part of the ongoing efforts by the "World Without Obesity" organization to educate the public about this condition. For more information about their initiatives, you can visit their official website at www.worldwithoutobesity.org.
